These are student-led groups at Mason. Active and Inactive Groups are listed here.
Students are also always welcome to form new groups. If you are interested in forming a new group, you are welcome to consult the LGBTQ+ Resources Center for advice and support. Email us at lgbtq@gmu.edu to start the conversation!
Active Groups
These student groups have met in the current academic year, have a leadership board, and often an advisor.
Pride Alliance
This student group is also a Recognized Student Organization and can be found in Mason360. They are usually working on activism and celebratory events like the amateur drag show.

Queer and Trans People of Color (QTPOC)
This student group has usually focused on holding space and creating community among queer and trans students of color.

Board Gaymers Club
This student group is usually focused on community building through playing in-person board games and tabletop games. Sometimes this group also hosts virtual game nights.

Gamma Rho Lambda
LGBTQ+ Student-Athlete Group
This student group is focused on holding space for queer, trans, and non-binary NCAA student-athletes at Mason. They work in partnership with coaches and administrators in Mason Athletes and staff from the LGBTQ+ Resources Center to create community and inform best practices for LGBTQ+ student-athletes.

ARISE Campus Ministry
This student group is also a Registered Student Organization (RSO) and can be found in Mason360. They are a specifically LGBTQ+ affirming Christian campus ministry. This student group holds faith-based space for LGBTQ+ Christians and does community service work.

Graduate Assistant (GA) Community Committee, LGBTQ+ Faculty/Staff Alliance
This student group is a committee as part of the LGBTQ+ Faculty/Staff Alliance for graduate students who hold Graduate Professional Assistant (GPA), Graduate Research Assistant (GRA), and Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) roles at Mason.
